ABOUT GRADIAS PUBLISHING HOUSE & BOOK STORE

    Where Stories Find Their Readers

Welcome to Gradias—a literary space created with a simple belief: books are not merely products to be published and sold; they are worlds waiting to be discovered.

At the heart of Gradias is Gradias Publishing House, an independent publishing initiative dedicated to bringing the works of Ashfaq Ahmad to readers in India and around the world. Alongside it stands Gradias Book Store, our online bookstore created to make these books easily accessible while also opening the door to works by other authors and publishers.

Together, they form a platform built around one thing above everything else—the love of books.

    GRADIAS PUBLISHING HOUSE

Gradias Publishing House is the publishing home of Ashfaq Ahmad, whose writing extends across a wide range of genres, fictional worlds, and storytelling traditions.

From crime fiction and espionage to psychological thrillers, horror, romance, literary fiction, short stories, and speculative fiction, the catalogue refuses to remain confined to a single literary territory.

Some books exist as independent stories, while others form part of larger fictional universes and continuing series. The Spyverse explores espionage, intelligence operations, international crime, covert missions, and conspiracies across an expanding fictional world. The Arlzverse moves into a much broader realm of interconnected stories, civilizations, worlds, and realities.

Alongside these larger universes are standalone novels and collections of short fiction—each with its own atmosphere, characters, conflicts, and identity.

Gradias currently focuses exclusively on publishing the works of Ashfaq Ahmad, allowing the publishing house to maintain a close connection between the author's creative vision and the books that reach readers.

The catalogue continues to grow, but the principle remains constant: every book should have a story worth telling and an identity of its own.

    GRADIAS BOOK STORE

Publishing a book is only one part of the journey.

A story ultimately needs to find its reader.

Gradias Book Store was created as the retail extension of Gradias Publishing House—a dedicated online space where readers can explore and purchase books published by Gradias.

But the store is not limited to our own catalogue.

Gradias Book Store also brings together selected books by other authors and publishers, allowing visitors to discover titles beyond the Gradias catalogue. Where these books are offered through external marketplaces, the store provides convenient links through platforms such as Amazon and other affiliated retail channels, allowing readers to complete their purchases directly through those platforms.

In this way, Gradias Book Store serves two purposes at once: it remains the home for Gradias publications while also functioning as a broader doorway into the world of books.

    A SPACE FOR READERS

We believe a good bookstore should encourage discovery.

A reader may arrive looking for a particular Gradias novel and leave having discovered an entirely different author. Someone searching for a thriller may encounter a crime novel, a horror story, a romance, or a work of literary fiction that they might never have found otherwise.

That element of discovery is central to the idea behind Gradias Book Store.

Our catalogue is therefore not designed merely to display books. It is intended to create a space where different stories, genres, authors, and publishing identities can meet readers.

    HINDI, ENGLISH & BEYOND

Gradias makes books available in both Hindi and English, reflecting the linguistic breadth of its publishing catalogue and the diverse readership it seeks to reach.

The Hindi editions preserve the cultural character and natural expression of their stories, while the English editions allow the same literary works to travel beyond linguistic and geographical boundaries.

The bookstore also allows readers to explore books from different publishing backgrounds, making Gradias a place where language and publishing origin need not be a barrier to discovery.

    INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

Gradias operates with an independent spirit.

It is not built around a single genre, a single type of reader, or a rigid publishing formula. Its strength lies in the freedom to explore different forms of storytelling and to allow each book to develop its own character.

For the publishing house, that means creating and presenting books according to the author's vision.

For the bookstore, it means giving readers the freedom to explore beyond that catalogue.

The two sides complement each other: one creates stories, the other helps those stories find their way to readers.

MORE THAN A BOOKSTORE. MORE THAN A PUBLISHER.

    A publishing house creates books.

A bookstore brings books to readers.

Gradias brings these two journeys together.

From the first idea behind a story to the moment a reader discovers it, Gradias seeks to remain connected with the entire journey of a book.

Whether you come here for an Ashfaq Ahmad novel, to follow an ongoing series, to explore one of the larger fictional universes published by Gradias, or simply to browse for something new to read, you are entering a space built around storytelling.

The catalogue will continue to expand. New books will appear. New stories will emerge. New authors and titles will continue to find their way into the bookstore.

But the purpose will remain unchanged:

    To publish stories worth reading.

    To make books worth discovering.

And to build a literary space where stories and readers can find each other.
